Dear reader I couldn’t sleep so I finished reading “Slave, Warrior, Queen” book #1 in the “Of Crowns and Glory” series by Morgan Rice. I picked up this book in the Free section of the Nook store on my tablet because it seemed interesting and it was free. My personal review of the book is as follows:

I want to start this review off by saying that the main character gets into/out of a lot of hard situations almost all back to back from the beginning of the book. Her best female friend seems in my personal opinion to be very flat and one dimensional even though her background seems to be very interesting.

How many times can a main character do something that they know in advance of doing it will risk their life/situation, then more times than not complain that the consequences from doing said action suck?

Every time the storyline gives you something to root for by the end of the book it’s gone. The only good thing(in my personal opinion) that happens at the end of the book is that the main character isn’t dead…yet.

Overall I personally rate this book a 2 and a half out of 10 because I liked some of the characters. I won’t be reading the next book in the series. Happy reading dear reader 😊.  Please like and share this review if you like it doing so helps me to get approved by Netgally and other places for future books ♡.
