Dear reader I just finished reading “The Bullet Catcher’s Daughter” book #1 in “The Fall of the Gas-Lit Empire” by Rod Duncan. I bought this book when it was on sale in the Nook store on my tablet because it seemed interesting. I do want to say that the author of this book follows me on Twitter(@BookNerd0486 if you want to say hi to me that way) however he hasn’t talked to me about my review; having said all of that my personal review of the book is as follows:

I don’t normally like a lot of “steam punk” themed books however this one really pulled me in from the beginning and for some reason the way that the majority of the inventions were described/discussed I found it easier to understand, it also seemed to me personally that they made sense.

The main character is very believable and relatable. I also really enjoyed the circus characters and setting, I felt like I was really there with them. Towards the end of book I got a bit confused about how the storyline was moving the main character from place to place(I can’t really explain more without giving away important plot points). I didn’t see the plot twists at the end of the book coming at all. I will be downloading the next book in the series as soon as I finish posting this review to see what happens next overall I personally rate this book a 6/10. Happy reading dear reader 😊.

Please like and share this review if you like it doing so helps me to get approved by Netgally and other places for future books ♡.

PS. If you’re interested in possibly having me do a book review of your book please email me at [email protected] or tweet/DM on Twitter @BookNerd0486
